About
I deal with codes.
The Civil Code and the Revised Penal Code on one side; the code that runs AI on the other. I'm Daniel Fordan — most people call me Fords — a Philippine lawyer working where the two meet.
My practice revolves around corporate law and special projects, with particular focus on intellectual property, technology, and AI law. I am Program Coordinator at the Manuel L. Quezon University School of Law, where I also teach, including its AI for Modern Legal Practice certification. I serve as President of the Philippine Association of Fintech Lawyers (PAFLA), and have represented the organization in Senate advocacy on open budget legislation.
I also write code. I build my own legal-practice tools, and I write about what that teaches me about the law.
